Basis of the edition

The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary.

Commentary

The fragment contains a fragmentary cult image description; the present classification as CTH 520 is misleading (see already Soysal 2016: 425).

rev. 2: The traces of the first sign resemble DUG. Whether the following signs ḫa-az-za are related to the unclear Luwian form ḫa-a-az-za of KUB 25.38 8, is uncertain.

rev. 3: On this passage see Siegelová 1984: 118 and Cordani 2016: 169.
